Thailand's Rebar Market Has Continued Falling Recently

It's reported that Thailand's rebar market has continued falling recently due to weak demand and lower billet prices. At present, the prices of rebar offered by local mills are at THB18, 200~TBH18, 300/ton (US$592~US$596/ton), falling by THB200/ton from early May. The CIS mills offered rebar quoted at US$510/ton, decreasing by US$35/ton from early May. It's learned that the demand from local construction industry has remained weak recently and the local some construction activity may be hindered by raining season. Affected by these factors, industry sources predicted that Thailand's rebar market would remain weak in the near short term.
