According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the country's stainless coil imports totaled 41,890 tons in August, rising by 1.3% from a month ago and soaring by 70% year on year. In August, the country's import values generated by stainless steel coils totaled US$92.6 million. Meanwhile, Italy was the largest exporter of stainless coils to Turkey with 9,550 tons in August; Taiwan was the second largest one with 7,482 tons and China was the third largest one with 4,514 tons. In the first eight months of this year, the country's imports of stainless coils amounted to 309,105 tons, rising by 14% year on year.
