The Ikea Group Raised Its Turnover in The 2012/2013 Business Year (31 August) by 3.1%

The Ikea group raised its turnover in the 2012/2013 business year (31 August) by 3.1% to €27.9bn. This comes after growt of 9.5% in the previous business year. Adjusted for exchange rate fluctuations turnover grew by 3.6% in 2012/2013 and adjusted for increases in sales area turnover was up 1.8%. The strongest growth was shown in Russia and China; turnover in North America also improved slightly. In Europe Ikea says its has gained furhter market share in practically all markets. As such turnover increased in Europe in spite of the continuing difficult market conditions in southern Europe. The full annual report will be released in January 2014.
