Stora Enso’s intelligent packaging will use Microsoft Azure, a cloud platform for business digitalization.
Microsoft Azure platform will enable secure data collection and analytics for clients investing in advanced intelligent packaging solutions.
Intelligent packaging by Stora Enso incorporates radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, which allows the product to be tracked, traced and tamper-proofed across the supply chain.
The near field communication (NFC) enabled smartphone will enable communication between the brand-owner and the end-user.
By using Microsoft cloud service, all data are gathered for analytics to support and improve business efficiency.

In October, Stora Enso deployed the cloud-based data management platform of Rubrik at its paper mill in Langerbrugge, Ghent to safeguard its virtual and physical workloads.
