Beverage can manufacturer Crown Embalagens Metalicas da Amazonia has extended its beverage can portfolio in Brazil with the launch of a new sleek 425ml size can.
Crown president Rinaldo Lopes said that the Brazil market saw frequent launching of beverage product innovations and new packaging options.
"We were the first to offer the 550 ml can in Brazil to meet our customers' demands; the 425 ml beverage can is another size which was commercialized to cater to our energy, beer and soft drink customers that want an exclusive format for their brand," Lopes added.
With the launch of the new can, the company now produces cans of seven different sizes that enable customers to differentiate brands.
Crown offers 269ml, 310ml and 355ml sleek style cans as well as standard 355ml and larger 475ml cans.
The company produces the SuperEnd beverage end in Brazil, which is said to cut dowm metal use by 10%. It also offers the 360 End called 'copa o', where the completed lid is removed and the can turns into a drinking cup.
Crown owns beverage can plants in Cabreuva, Estancia and Ponta Grossa and a beverage end plant in Manaus, Brazil.
The company's new beverage can plant at Teresina in northern Brazil would be commercialized in 2014.
