There were 1.302 billion subscribers of mobile communication services in China as of the end of October 2015, growing 0.15% on month and 1.97% on year, and 418.93 million (32.18%) were 3G users, 328.38 million (25.23%) were 4G users and 951.61 million (73.10%) were mobile Internet-access users, according to statistics published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The number of subscribers at the end of October accounted for 95% of the country's population (user density).
Also at the end of October there were 235.01 million subscribers of fixed telephone services in China, translating into a user density of 17.3%.
In October, mobile phone subscribers in China sent 54.6 billion text messages, averaging 1.35 text messages per number a day, and mobile Internet resulted in total traffic of 423,432Tb.
