The Pyroguard range of fire glass solutions is making its Clerkenwell Design Week debut (21st – 23rd May 2013), exhibiting at the event as the specialist glazing partner within ‘The Planet Showroom’.
Manufactured by CGI International, Pyroguard is a market-leading range of fire resistant glazing products, providing access to large tested sizes which facilitate the creation of striking architectural designs – while ensuring Building Regulation compliance. This includes a Butt Jointed System which has been developed for use in impressive glazed partitions. Offering a near seamless joint, this head and bottom rail system is certified for internal use with aluminium (E30) as well as timber and steel (EI30 and EI60).

Paul will be on hand during the three day event to explain how the benefits of Pyroguard extend far beyond its primary function of fire protection. Moreover, the proven insulating properties which make Pyroguard a market-leading fire glass solution also provide excellent thermal performance, with all products achieving Document L compliant U-values. A key feature of the Pyroguard showcase at Clerkenwell Design Week will be the recently launched Pyroguard-T – a range of high performance fire glass products providing access to some of the largest tested sizes available on the market today.
A gel-filled product manufactured with toughened glass, Pyroguard-T is extremely robust during installation and offers excellent impact strength of up to 1B1 (under European standards). Spanning fire ratings of E30 to EI 120, Pyroguard-T is manufactured to bespoke sizes by CGI International and shipped straight to site. Offering the additional benefit of large format applications, Pyroguard-T is certified for use in individual pane sizes up to and including 3m in height or 3.6m² in area.
