Nationwide Marketing Group has launched a revamped version of its MemberNet intranet communications tool, featuring on-demand options and other new tools for its furniture, electronics and appliance dealer members.
More than a year in the making, MemberNet 4.0 includes a complete rewrite of the dealer communications platform that the buying group said "positions MemberNet for growth in an increasingly mobile world."
One of the newest features of the site launched this past week is MemberNet TV Plus, the system's video platform, updated to offer dealers the ability to play 3D and 1080p high-definition video. The old system was structured to play one loop of content, while the new one is equipped with an on-demand feature that makes it easier for retailers to play specific content when they want, Nationwide said.
"We strive to provide our members with the resources they need to enhance their customer's shopping experience," Les Kirk, Nationwide chief operating officer, said in a release. "The advancements in this new system will help our retailers keep ahead of the curve in their marketplace."
Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Nationwide has more than 2,500 members with more than 10,000 stores in the United States and Canada and combined annual buying power of $14 billion. The organization is the parent of RentDirect Nationwide, Specialty Electronics Nationwide and Cantrex Nationwide.
