The BFM, in its capacity as an Accredited Trade Organisation, secured grant funding from UK Trade & Investment for the purpose of assisting members exhibiting at the Milan furniture show to promote and develope their export potential.
Arthur Brett, Duresta, Parker Knoll and Ercol each reported substantial success at last month's event, with feedback including "overwhelming results", "beyond our expectations", "extremely worthwhile", and "huge potential through new leads and contacts". Each of the members have confirmed that they wish to return to Milan in 2014 to build on their export success.
Jackie Bazeley, MD of the BFM, says: "It is very gratifying that the BFM member companies had such a positive experience at the Milan show. It proves that there is a real appetite for great British furniture, and as an organisation we are building on this to promote the export drive further afield."
