US-based LBP Manufacturing, a global manufacturer of packaging solutions for the foodservice industry, and Henkel, a global manufacturer of adhesive technology have joined forces to produce Thermolite packaging, sustainable thermal insulation for packaging.
LBP President Matthew Cook said the thermolite packaging delivers immediate value because it transforms common substrates into high-performance packaging products, according to packworld.com.
"It is a solution that delivers performance on par with conventional packaging, but with less material, energy and waste," Cook said.
Thermolite insulation is developed from renewable material and applied in-line to create multi-functional packaging containers suitable for a range of industrial needs such as thermal insulation, barrier resistance, structural integrity, and impact resistance, while improving the overall sustainability of the package.
