AMERICAN RUG CRAFTSMEN

The Serenity collection is designed to bring harmony to any decor with intricate but soothing patterns - from traditional Persian panels to new moderns. The soft palette of 30 colors ranges from mossy greens and blues to subtle golds and earth tones. Woven of polypropylene on Van de Wiele looms in the U.S., this collection has a rich wool-like texture. It combines comfort with a new classicism.

Serenity Collection rugs are available in a variety of sizes from oversized to rounds and runners. Retail for a 5-foot-3 by 7-foot-10 is $299.

AMS IMPORTS

Vibrations, in 100% wool, is a new flat woven rug in the Watercolors collection. It is hand-woven in a tapestry weave construction to replicate a painting by local artist Katy Allgeyer. Available in standard or custom sizes. The company can also make rugs from the customer's own artwork.

Albers in Plum is one of the hand-knotted Tibetan rugs from InnerAsia that AMS Imports is presenting. Its combination of wool and silk creates a shimmer in the rug. Also available in several other colorations and in standard and custom sizes.

Summer Stripes is an addition to the Peruvian collection of hand-woven, double-woven 100% llama rugs. It is reversible with different striped patterns on either side. Available in standard sizes and colors, or custom design.

Devi is an addition to the Egyptian collection of 100% wool rugs. The flat weave area rug has a colorful geometric pattern that is bright, bold but also affordable. Available in standard sizes and colors, or custom design.

Garden Scroll is new to the Rustic Cottage collection of indoor/outdoor fabric rugs. The braided rug is made in the U.S. from AMS Imports fabrics or a customer's fabric for a customized look. All rugs in the collection can be made in rectangular, oval or round constructions.

The Coco Cozy for Capel Rugs collaboration includes 100% wool rugs, hand-knotted in India with an Indo-Tibetan weave. All are available in 5 by 8, 7 by 9, 8 by 11 and 9 by 13 sizes.

Designs include Coco's Flower, a bold pattern in rich, modern colors; Fence, a simple pattern with California charm in five stylish colors; Loop, a fun, graphic pattern with a serene, ocean-inspired sophistication; Oxford, a graphic aesthetic and earthy color palette that feels casual but also elegant; and Quatrefoil, a modern, clean and sophisticated design in spring-like colors.

F.J. KASHANIAN RUGS

The Sari Silk collection includes one-of-a-kind rugs made of the same silk used to make women's sari dresses in India. Also new is the Khotan Collection, also one-of-a-kind rugs with a vintage and tribal style. They are very close to antique carpets with a low pile. Both collections show the style direction the company is taking, with either lots of color or muted and vintage.

FEIZY RUGS

Thirteen new collections will be introduced and Feizy will also make additions to several collections.

The Anoosha collection has an aristocratic air with traditional designs in warm palettes and New Zealand wool blend piles, with an antique finish that lends the look of an heirloom.

Sophisticated design and rich color unite in the Amalfi collection, with a simple yet detailed repeating design hand-knotted in wool and bamboo silk, with a lustrous sheen and soft hand.

Power loomed additions to the Home collection include the Lucka collection of indoor/outdoor rugs, the Saphir Yardley and Saphir Rubus collections of high-low viscose rugs and the Azeri collection, a new wool and viscose offering with a plush hand and exceptional performance against wear.

Three new tufted lines in include the Mahsa, Carina and the Morisco collections. The Cetara collection of hand-hooked rugs also is new. Each makes innovative use of texture and fibers for visual impact that is fashionable and functional.

The Tamar and Coronado collections, additions to the Poetic Wanderlust collection by Tracy Porter, feature romantic design and bold palettes.

The Sargasso collection, which debuted at Las Vegas in January, has been expanded to include several more designs. These eco-friendly PET rugs are suitable for indoor and outdoor casual living spaces.

Zippy chevrons, modern ikats, honeycomb patterns, fun geometrics, vibrant florals and distressed crackled styles give designers multiple options. Colors in the Panache collection have a modern edge with olive greens, dusky indigos, poppy reds, creamy yellows and weathered grays. Each pattern comes in 12 hues, providing shade variations ranging from soft to brilliant.

Panache rugs are woven of super-soft nylon fibers on Van de Weile looms in the U.S., face-to-face Wilton weaving methods to enhance the details of the collection. Available in a variety of sizes including runners. Retail price for 5-foot6 by 8-foot-3 is $499.

New in the MAT the basics line are Big Box, hand-woven of wool with viscose, in orange or multiple colors that can blend into any setting; Firenze, a classy modern design hand-tufted of new wool in brown or gray; Bilbao, hand-tufted in new wool with twisted New Zealand wool, in white, turquoise or beige; and Almeria, hand-knotted in an Indo-Tibetan 100 knots method in semi-worsted New Zealand wool with viscose.

Two introductions in the MAT Vintage catalog were hand-stitched from left-out yarns that were re-dyed and over-dyed, in 100% wool. Honeycomb is available in multi-color, gold, light beige, orange, red and turquoise. Puzzle is available in multi-color, beige and gray.

NCA DESIGN

Rug introductions include the Fassion collection in hand-tufted polyester, in patterns or solid colors; the Silky collection in polyester shag in multiple colors; and the Paper Shag hand-knotted polyester group in white or silver.

In a new gallery concept, NCA Design has merchandised every collection into a complete room setting that can include rugs, furniture, wall art and accessories, all delivered from the same warehouse.

NOURISON

Introductions include Calvin Klein Urban, where refined simplicity meets nature. Made from the agave plant, these eco-friendly sisal fibers are woven to create a floor covering that has surface texture and a color palette that is synonymous with the design brand.

India House is a collection with traditional designs that appeals to decorating preferences from traditional to contemporary motifs and a range of colors. Hand-made in India of wool.

Somerset features traditional, transitional and contemporary designs in a variety of color combinations, power-loomed in China of 100% Opulon and hand-carved.

RIZZY HOME

Bayside Collection is power-loomed in India of 100% heat-set polypropylene. Retail in 5-foot-3 by 7-foot-7 is $169.

Atlas, hand-knotted of 100% wool in India, is designed by Beth Lacefield and introduces a construction that gives each design an intriguing high-low effect. Its deconstructed tribal pattern spotlights shades such as emerald, fuchsia and lime as well as neutral ebony and walnut tones, all showcased on a neutral ground. Suggested retail in 5 by 8 is $1,496

Surya also is introducing line extensions in:

Caesar, a bestselling line hand-tufted of wool in India. The update includes highly functional color palettes such as deep browns, charcoal gray and muted red. Each rug is available in more than 20 sizes and a variety styles such as round, square, oval and mansion-sized. Suggested retail in 5 by 8 is $352.

Cosmopolitan, hand-tufted of polyester in China. Contemporary designs are in a bright color palette and a price in reach of every buyer. These durable rugs will not shed. Suggested retail in 5 by 8 is $308.

Fallon, flat-woven of wool in India. The popular collection features patterns ranging from delicate lattices to boldly colored chevrons and makes a statement in the versatile flat-weave construction. Creator Jill Rosenwald is known for her beautifully colored, hand-made ceramics. THE RUG MARKET AMERICA

With a plush traditional floral and swirl element motif, St. Simon (44448) from the Maison Luxe collection delivers a luxurious coloration of silver and gray and taupe. Construction is wool and silk.

Kiawah Silver (44444), also in wool and silk and in the Maison Luxe line, is plush and luxurious with a trending monotone coloration of shimmering silver.

Edisto (44447), another entry in wool and silk from Maison Luxe, is a plush native rug motif in a luxurious coloration of silver, gray and taupe.
