The AAMA's Fenestrationmasters Certification Exam Is Now Available

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association's FenestrationMasters certification exam is now available, according to a AAMA press release. FenestrationMaster (advanced-level) and FenestrationAssociate (entry-level) students who have successfully completed the required coursework can take the certification exam at any number of testing centers across the United States.

“Development of a professional training and certification program of this scope is a substantial undertaking, and we are exceptionally pleased to have assembled a high-quality program culminating in the release of these certification exams,” said Janice Yglesias, AAMA's association services director, in the release. “Feedback received thus far from our current certification candidates ... has been very positive. Several individuals have nearly completed the entire required curriculum, so we are looking forward to processing our first exam registration and awarding our first certification.”

During the AAMA Fall Conference, set for Oct. 27-30 in Baltimore, AAMA will launch the option to administer exams outside of established testing centers using AAMA-authorized exam proctors. Those who attend the Fall Conference can take the FenestrationMaster or FenestrationAssociate exam for no additional fee, according to the release.

AAMA has also completed the Candidate Guide and Study Notebook. The Candidate Guide explains how the program works, the necessary steps to become certified and what materials may be utilized during the exam. The guide also provides sample exam questions and answers. The Study Notebook is a free, printable resource for existing students that outlinies courses and provides a place to take notes to prepare for the exam.
