Mechanical and plant engineering firm Dürr has recently deployed its hi-tech EcoDryScrubber solution in the highly competitive Japanese market. The EcoDryScrubber is environmentally-friendly and leverages dry separation to capture and filter out overspray that occurs during painting. Dürr has equipped 80 percent of its paint shops with this dry separation technology since the EcoDryScrubber was introduced. One of Japan’s leading train operators with its fleet of hi-speed locomotives has deployed the EcoDryScrubber technology in its new paintshop for aluminum panels on the Shinkansen high-speed train. The system is scheduled to enter service in Hamamatsu in summer 2015.

Dürr is hoping to offer this highly advanced technology as one of the solutions for the Indian Railway’s ambitious hi-speed corridor bullet train projects. Recognizing the huge business potential here, the €3.2 billion Dürr Group has decided to put additional focus on the Asian and Indian markets in the coming future.
