Bedding's Biggest Producers Will Introduce Their New Flagship Mattress Lines

Bedding's biggest producers are introducing their new flagship mattress lines at this week's High Point Market. Bedding buyers will have plenty of new models to choose from.

Sales leader Serta is showing its new flagship Perfect Sleeper line, which offers a number of new features, and is also showing new high-end models in its popular iComfort series of gel memory foam beds.

Serta's new iComfort Directions line features three new gel technologies designed to give sleepers cooler, more comfortable sleep, the producer says.

No. 2 Sealy is showing its all-new Posturepedic line, which is topped by the Hybrid Series. Sealy says the line presents "a true half foam/half springs design."

Sealy is also adding ClimaSense gel memory foam to the Stearns & Foster Estate Innerspring Collection. And it is touting its new national consumer advertising campaign to support its 2013 Sealy Posturepedic line. The campaign, anchored by two new television spots, represents the largest investment in the brand in more than five years, the company said.

No. 3 Simmons is bringing a broad product introduction to High Point. Its new Beautyrest Recharge line features 15 models retailing from $699 to $1,299, while the Beautyrest Recharge World Class line features 14 models and retails from $1,399 to $1,999.

Also new from Simmons are four high-end additions to its ComforPedic From Beautyrest line, retailing from $2,999 to $4,499. Those beds feature various memory foams, including gel memory foam.

Therapedic and Restonic, two other Top 15 producers, are also bringing their Las Vegas Market introductions to High Point, following the usual pattern for bedding producers.

Therapedic is featuring its Agility line, which uses various encased coil units and specialty foams in a hybrid bedding design that is unusually durable, the producer says.

Therapedic recently revamped the Agility line, adding additional layers of gel and mini micro-coils to some models. Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic's president, said the top model, the Crossover, now has more than 8,000 coils in a luxurious construction. That model will retail for $2,999.

To help celebrate Restonic's 75th Diamond Anniversary, the company is introducing an updated and enhanced flagship ComfortCare collection and an all-new ComfortCare Signature collection.

The ComfortCare line features Restonic's Marvelous Middle with Dream Beam support in the center third of the mattress, as well as new quilting gel foam, memory foam and TempaGel memory foam in select models. Queen retail prices start at $599 and go up to $999.

The ComfortCare Signature line starts at $1,299. It features Restonic's Marvelous Middle individually wrapped coil, Restonic TempaGel memory foam, gel-infused latex, gel-infused quilting foam and the all-new AirFlow Border. The Signature Collection also incorporates phase change materials in the panel fabric.

Another Top 15 producer, Symbol Mattress, is introducing its Comfort 4U series of adjustable, personalized comfort mattresses. "You don't feel the same way every day, so why should your bed? These beds conform to your body at your command," the company says.

The Comfort 4U beds feature gel, latex and memory foams.
