Trade Resources Industry Views MTA Has Teamed up with Trucks for Change Network

MTA Has Teamed up with Trucks for Change Network

The Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) has teamed up with Trucks for Change network to provide charities in Manitoba with trucking services.

Members in the network use a unique online charity load-posting tool to match their available capacity with the needs of charities. The MTA says its partnership with Trucks for Change will help the organization accelerate its membership growth and its support of communities within the province.

“The trucking industry has always actively supported charities. Our job is to make the process more efficient by finding the right carrier with the right equipment in the right place to help,” said Pete Dalmazzi, president and founder of Trucks for Change. “Finding affordable transportation often makes the difference between a charity accepting donated goods or having them end up in landfill sites, so there’s an environmental benefit as well. We’re thrilled to have MTA’s endorsement, and we look forward to helping its members make a difference in communities across Manitoba.”

Bob Dolyniuk, executive director of the MTA, added: “Trucks for Change’s mission is consistent with MTA’s goal of promoting an environmentally and socially responsible commercial trucking industry in Manitoba. We are happy to endorse its efforts, and we encourage our members to participate.”
