Xcel Brands Has Signed a Licensing Agreement with Furniture Brands International

Xcel Brands Inc. has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Furniture Brands International that gives FBI the license to manufacture home furniture and distribute the Home Isaac Mizrahi label.The collection will debut in 100 Thomasville stores and at better department stores in spring of next year, according to an announcement from Xcel."I am very excited to partner with Furniture Brands and its Thomasville division on this home collection," said Robert D'Loren, chairman and CEO of Xcel Brands. "This license is a cornerstone to our growing home business."Kathy Veltri, President of Thomasville Furniture, said, "We are thrilled to collaborate with Xcel Brands and its Isaac Mizrahi brand. This collection will bring a colorful yet classic home presentation to the marketplace. We cannot wait to reveal the collection in spring 2014."Xcel acquired the Isaac Mizrahi brand in 2011.
