Mount Franklin Foods Is Voluntarily Recalling One Lot of Sunrise Indian Corn Candy

Mount Franklin Foods is voluntarily recalling one lot of Sunrise Indian Corn Candy as the product contains milk and sulfites which are not declared on the label,according to the US Food and Drug Administration(FDA).

People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk can experience serious of life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The product being recalled is Sunrise Indian Corn Candy,which is packaged in 16 oz clear plastic tubs with Best By date of MAR 26 2013 and with Lot#2321811.

The best by date and lot number are printed on the bottom label of the tub.This lot had UPC number 0-76500-16651-5.No other lots or products are affected.

FDA noted that the products were distributed in Texas,New Mexico,Arizona and Florida,only through Albertson's retail stores between the dates of 3 July 2012 and 5 July 2012.

The recall was initiated after it was identified that the Chocolate flavor used in the affected lot contained non-fat dry milk and sulfites,which was not declared on the label.

Till date,there have been no reports of injuries or illnesses linked to the consumption of this product.
