US-based Big Wood Brewery has announced the launch of its Jack Savage, Morning Wood, Bark Bite and Bad Axe craft beers in new 16oz Rexam cans.

Big Wood's Craft Beers Hit Markets in Rexam Cans

Big Wood Brewery president Jason Medvec said, "Cans provide complete protection from light that helps preserve freshness. They also offer us a lot more space to tell our branding story. Through our partnership with Rexam, we have the perfect package for our beers."

According to Rexam, cans have the advantages of portability, durability and serve as the sustainable beverage packaging choice, as they can be recycled at more than double the rate of any other beverage package.

Rexam BCNA president and CEO Rich Grimley said the company's cans secure beverage integrity by keeping out the light.

"Cans just make good business sense as well with superior recycling, filling, distribution and retail display economics," Grimley added.

Global consumer packaging company Rexam has 67 plants in 24 countries. The company's sales from ongoing operations in 2012 stood around $7bn.
