Coswick Hardwood is pleased to announce that the company has earned Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Certification from BM Trada Certifiation. The Certificate Registration Code is TT-COC-004704TT-CW-004704.
The scope of certification includes the entire range of Coswick products, namely, solid and engineered hardwood flooring, wood wall panels, and all moldings.
"Earning FSC Chain of Custody certification is a tremendously important step for Coswick Hardwood, as it allows us to assure our customers that the products they purchase are manufactured using ethical, economically viable, and environmentally responsible practices," said Vladimir Ianovski, founder of Coswick Hardwood.
FSC certification reflects a growing trend in construction and woodworking industries for implementing environmentally-conscious and socially-responsible practices and supply chain decisions. FSC Certification ensures that forestry operations meet a set of environmental, social and economic criteria covering compliance with laws and international treaties, land use, rights of indigenous peoples and company employees, biodiversity conservation, as well as support of local communities.
The Forest Stewardship Council is the global standard-setter in responsible forest management. Chain of Custody Certification guarantees that wood products come from certified and responsibly managed forestlands. FSC Certified Products are tracked throughout the supply chain, from the forest to the consumer. Conscientious consumers can look for the FSC logo on wood products to know they are supporting forest management that protects biodiversity and supports local communities.
BM Trada is an independent not-for-profit membership organization. A UK based company, BM Trada is an international certification body with a wide scope of UKAS accredited schemes and a leading reputation in management systems, product and supply chain certification.
