It’s been confirmed that techno DJ Loco Dice will be one of the many acts playing the Kazantip Music Festival 2013. His unique style has gotten him noticed and recognized by some of the biggest names in the music industry. Music super stars such as rappers Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg have had Loco Dice fill in support slots during their tours.
DJ Loco Dice was born, Yassine Ben Achour, in 1974. His family is from Tunisa, but he was born in Dusseldorf. DJ Loco Dice is now a well known electronic techno music artist and producer who is respected graciously in the music industry.
The Martinez Brothers are also playing the Kazantip Music Fest. These two brothers have separated themselves from every other DJ duo that spins a record. These brothers are known for giving off positive energy to their audience; while at the same time hypnotize the crowd with deafening beats and bass riffs that could stop a stampede of mustangs.
Chris and Steve Martinez were born in the Bronx, New York. These two were influenced with music since they were little. Their father, who was a veteran in the disco era, brought music home for his boys. That same influence brings out what you hear from the Martinez Brothers today.
The Kazantip Music Festival is being held in the small, resort Crimean town of Popovka located in Southern Ukraine. It is approximately 100km away from the only airport (Simferopol International Airport), so reserving a car rental beforehand would make better planning. Taking a taxi is also recommended. You will be paying anywhere from $80 to $100US for a cab ride into town. However, because of complications in the past, it is suggested to never take a train or bus into town. It is 2.5 hours longer and you might even have to get off and transfer to another bus or train.
The country of Ukraine would like to remind all their international guests that an American Passport or a European Union Passport may be needed when entering the country. Also, the Z-citizens (patrons of the Kazantip Music Fest) would like to remind that a viZa (the Kazantip version of a “visa”)is needed when entering the festival area (aka The Republic Kazantip) and can be purchased for $100US for a one time entry. That means, once you leave you will not be permitted back in. However, for $200US you can purchase the multi-pass and enter and leave as often as you’d like as long as the festival is still going on.
The viZa is actually the price of the ticket to see the entire venue, or just for that day (or when you decide to leave).
