19East Has Consolidated Its Operations with Adjustable Base Ergomotion

Distribution company 19East has consolidated its operations with adjustable base bed manufacturer Ergomotion, officials said.

19East was created in 2011 as a distributor of adjustable base beds and has been instrumental in streamlining the delivery of Ergomotion bases in the continental United States, officials said. The merger of operations will provide increased service levels to their combined customers, the companies said.

19East will serve as the distribution arm of Ergomotion and will operate under the Ergomotion Fulfillment name. All former employees will be retained and their focus will remain on distributing Ergomotion products and providing less-than-truckload logistical support to customers, officials said.

"Our customers have spoken loud and clear about the challenges they face with the distribution and delivery of our adjustable foundations," said Leo Vera, Ergomotion's chief operating officer. "Over the last year and a half we have quietly built a network to increase our core competencies in the area of warehousing, handling, distribution and even last mile deliveries. We are now ready to incorporate the unique capabilities of 19East into the fabric of what we do at Ergomotion to truly offer the full-service solutions that the industry and our customers expect."

Bradlee Van Pelt, 19 East's director of operations, said he believes the merger "will create new operational capabilities for Ergomotion."

Ergomotion products are sold in stores in the United States and in two dozen other countries. The company was founded by Alain Clenet and Kelly Clenet, a father and son team who are CEO and president, respectively.
