The High Point Market Authority's Style Spotter program was selected as one of America's top 10 influencer marketing campaigns by RaynForest.
Style Spotters went up against campaigns by Acura, Verizon Wireless and British Airways, among others, and was chosen as the No. 2 overall campaign in results.
Influencer marketing, a new communications technique that arose with blogging and social media, engages people who have influence with potential buyers to talk with their followers about a brand, product or service.
As part of an effort to bring more interior designers to the High Point Market, Style Spotters sought to demonstrate that High Point is the center of home furnishings fashion. The program enlisted well known and active design bloggers to seek out their favorite new products in High Point, post them to Pinterest boards, and encourage their followers to vote for their favorites.
The Style Spotter who receives the most votes by Nov. 1 will win a free trip to the April 5-10 High Point Market.
"The program was a great fit for everyone," said Tom Conley, High Point Market Authority president and CEO. "Interior designers are always looking for exciting new products. The design bloggers want to take a leadership role in discovering top trends. The High Point Market wants designers to know that our event is the place where you can find the latest and greatest in home fashion. By serving all of those needs - not just ours - Style Spotters created the type of value-for-value transaction that is the core of good influencer marketing."
The RaynForest competition considered each entry's results, and Style Spotters demonstrated success in bringing more designers to market this fall, market organizers said.
