Textile Design Meets Furnishing at Imm Cologne 2015Every two years, at imm cologne, textiles have their own event to re-emphasise their importance within furnishing trend development. With the individual presentation of textiles at the international furnishing fair in Cologne, the top editors at Pure Textile want to present strong and decorative elements and features. Once again in 2015, Pure Textile, an exceptional format for an exceptional selection, offers beautiful upholstery fabrics and exclusive textiles for all interior design requirements.

The event, which takes place every two years, has become an integral part of imm cologne after its outstandingly successful introduction in 2011. It has found a permanent home in Hall 3.2. Pure Textiles allows the complementary range which is so important to the furniture industry to be presented in the direct vicinity of an exclusive host of neighbours as it is integrated within the Pure segment, just what textile editors are looking for. “The composition of the various interiors has incorporated colourful elements more and more often than in previous years – whether for windows or walls – without being too over the top,” is the trend evaluation from Ralph Anstoetz (CEO of Jab Josef Anstoetz). “For Pure Textile 2015, I am hoping for lots of interested industry visitors in the first instance and, on the open days, lots of end customers who want to know more about textiles for home decor.”

Along with Jab Anstoetz and Sahco, Nya Nordiska, Soleil Bleu from Edition Wellmann as well as Zimmer + Rohde will be gathering at Pure Textile in Cologne. In addition, the Swiss editors, Création Baumann and Christian Fischbacher, Chivassso from the Netherlands and, visiting for the first time, Arte from Belgium and Romo from England will provide the event with an international flair. Together, they represent the diversity of high-end decorative fabrics, which are becoming more and more important within the context of interior design for exclusive furniture. Within the sophisticated, harmonious fair architecture of Pure Textile, they will present their ranges and new products at individually designed stands in an engaging and attractive atmosphere. The fair stands are arranged around an open centred set-up, encouraging communication-friendly meetings and events.

In 2015, Pure Textile brings together the top ten high-quality textile brands whose individual exhibits are arranged around a central square or plaza. The companies are focussed on the international fair visitor with an interest in exclusive andproducts and collections. This plaza is intended to be a lively, social meeting point, at the same time functioning as a creative highlight as well as the heart of the entire brand exhibition.

The large area of the plaza is bisected by an aisle. On the eastern side of the aisle is a large bar for cosy chats and relaxed business meetings over a nice hot cup of coffee or a cool drink. Another area which is perfect for relaxing is the colourful seating arrangement composed of sitting blocks and comfortable cushions, inviting visitors to sit back and sink into the soft fabrics.

“Pure Textile is first-hand trend-spotting. For the fair visitor, it is the perfect hot-spot for intensive exchange with creative textile editors and at the same time it provides an overview of the most important trends in textile design,” says Dick Spierenburg, Creative Director of Koelnmesse.
