Eleven Vietnamese Furniture Will Be Showing at The High Point Market

Eleven Vietnamese furniture and handicraft producers will be showing in a new permanent showroom at the High Point Market, Oct. 19-24, according to market organizers.

The companies are exhibiting under the umbrella of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Vietrade, in a 4,428-square-foot showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center, space G-578.

Exhibitors will include:

Asia Manufacturing Construction Co. Ltd., with beds, tables, chairs and bars in bamboo, and housewares in water hyacinth and sea grass.

Gia Nhien Co. Ltd., with handmade wooden model boats and ships.

Hiep Long Fine Furniture Co., with outdoor teak furniture and indoor furniture made of imported hardwoods, including tables, chairs, sun loungers, benches, tea trolleys and parasols.

Ho Nai Co. Ltd., with bedroom and dining room furniture, including consoles and cabinets, using Forest Stewardship Council-certified pine, oak and acacia.

International Furniture Corp., with bedroom furniture in a variety of styles and materials, including stock designs and custom orders, using FSC-certified wood.

Lavanto Home Décor by Gia Long Fine Arts, with decorative items, including paintings, vases, lamps, trays, mirrors and frames, in poly resin, composite and foam.

Lien Thanh Group Co. Ltd., with bedroom, dining room, kitchen, living room and office furniture featuring solid pine from New Zealand and oak from the United States.

Minh Duong Furniture Corp., with dining room, living room and bedroom furniture in pine, oak, ash and rubberwood.

Scansia Pacific Co. Ltd., with dining and bedroom furniture in rattan, bamboo and wood, and outdoor furniture in rattan and bamboo.

S.E.A. Furniture/Manh Thong Joint Stock Co., with bedroom and dining room furniture in a range of styles, including contemporary.

Thien Thuong Trading-Manufacturing Co. Ltd., with handmade wood souvenirs and collectibles, including sailboats, planes and cars, combining wood, ceramics, bamboo, lacquer and resin.

"Vietnam is known for its solid wood furniture and handicraft factories offering good quality and competitive prices," said Luong Quoc Binh, manager of Vietrade. Vietnamese producers also are focusing increased attention on using sustainable woods in their products and minimizing environmental impact, he added.

Along with the new showroom, Vietrade is developing a www.vietrade.biz Web portal that will feature detailed information about Vietnamese furniture and handicraft manufacturers and product lines. The new site will launch Dec. 9.
