During these days, the Indian domestic demand for hot rolled coils (HRC) still remained weak. Currently, China offers US$530~US$535/ton FOB for HRC with boron to India. Considering adding the freight, the CFR price would reach US$565~US$570/ton, plus the import duty of 7.5%, compared to the local ex. mill price, Chinese price enjoys no competitiveness at all.
