Tempur Sealy, parent company of bedding majors Sealy and Tempur-Pedic, tied Humana for the top rating based on performance criteria developed by a selection committee.
“It’s an honor to be included in this group of iconic Kentucky companies, and an even greater honor to be named co-winner,” said Dale Williams, Tempur Sealy International chief financial officer and executive vice president. “We appreciate the thorough research that InvestKentucky did as part of the process and on behalf of our more than 400 Kentucky-based team members and more than 6,500 employees worldwide, we are thankful for the recognition.”
In addition to Tempur Sealy and Humana, finalists included Texas Roadhouse and Papa John’s International.
“We’re proud to recognize and honor these top performing Kentucky public companies which provide so many opportunities while they serve consumers in the United States as well as internationally,” said Terry McWilliams, chairman of InvestKentucky.
An iBook, available from the Apple iBooks Store, has been released that features the Kentucky Company of the Year Grand Winners and finalists.
