Industry veteran Crystal Nguyen has joined full line importer Coaster as product manager of case goods.
Nguyen will handle case goods product development. Coaster officials said she brings a wealth of experience to the company.
"Crystal has an extensive background in retail buying as well as product development. She enjoys great retail relationships as a result of learning and understanding retail buyers' product needs," the company said in a press release.
For the past eight years Nguyen has been in executive roles handling product development at case goods source A-America. In the past two years she worked in product development and sales with major national accounts.
Prior to that, Nguyen was in furniture retail management, buying and merchandising for Seattle-based chain stores for 13 years.
At Coaster, her duties will include product development of new case goods, management of the current case goods product mix, traveling overseas to go over product with factories, working with key customers on product designs and involvement with sales and marketing teams in various business aspects.
