The Light + Building Fair is the world’s leading trade fair for Architecture and Technology. The key categories for the show are lighting, electrical engineering, home and building automation and software for the construction industry.
GIA Chandelier
The GIA Chandelier is composed of 33 handmade, polished brass calla lilies gracefully hanging from the ceiling by the stems and cinched in the middle like a bouquet.
The production of this chandelier is all handmade. An elite of artisans create this piece from the roots through technical innovations and handicraft wisdom, enduring the perfectionism of KOKET until the last detail.
It measures around 80cm of diameter and it haves 200cm height. All of this dimensions can be easily adjustable.
Andre Teoman is a 24-year-old Portuguese designer, and currently the head product designer for two luxury sister furniture companies, Boca Do Lobo and KOKET. When asked about his inspiration, he responded: " Usually my designs for KOKET are inspired in the last trends of the fashion world. This is one of the most ephemeral worlds where trends are set every six months, and for me it is a great inspirational source”. Plus, Teoman elucidates his design style, by saying I don’t believe in the unity of the true, the good and the beautiful ” that aesthetically valuable and quality-conscious design will make us better people, as Bauhaus or the Werkbund once proclaimed…I create my own world with wicked things and to turn them into a symbolization of distinctive taste and humor”.
