The 5th International Hardwood Conference Will Be Held From 18 to 20 September in Brussels

The 5th International Hardwood Conference of the European Organisation of the Sawmill Industry will be held from 18 to 20 September in Brussels by the Belgian sawmill association Federation Nationale des Scieries (FNS). A market analysis is planned for the actual conference day on 19 September. Speakers will be Laurent de Normandie from the French timber-industry association Fédération National du Bois (FNB) and managing partner of Normandie Bois in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray on the hardwood-lumber market in France, Emmanuel Defays from Office économique Wallon du Bois on roundwood supply in Belgium, Jean-Fran?ois Guilbert from the export organisation French Timber on Asian markets, Bruno Couture from Quebec Wood Export Bureau on the North American hardwood-lumber market and Nicolae Tu?unel from the Rumanian timber-industry association ASFOR and director of the Rumanian beech sawmill Forex SRL in Ghimbav near Brasov on the beech-lumber market in North Africa and the Middle East. Developments on sales markets in China are to be analysed in an independent talk, but the speaker on that subject has not yet been named.
