MDF Italia with Yale by Jean-Marie Massaud won the Compasso d' Oro Award and two Honorable Mentions for the products Vita by Massimo Mariani with Aedas R&D and Tense by Piergiorgio andMichele Cazzaniga.

The awarding of the Compasso d'Oro is a moment of recognition of excellent products not only part of the design history but even developing element of large - scale production.

MDF Italia was awarded the Compasso d'Oro Award for the Yale project, sofas and armchairs designed by Jean-Marie Massaud and developed by the MDF Italia project centre.
The award recognizes: " the Compasso d' Oro for the vision of padded sofa inserted into a minimal structure". The Compasso d' oro Award is enhancing the multi - years commitment of the company and its design philosophy based on innovation, the removal of superfluous, breaking the schemes, the search for simplicity for a product featured by original easthetic and functionality.

The Yale project by MDF Italia is composed of armchair and sofas featured by a wide range of cushions. The structure id made of extruded aluminium, aluminium die - legs, painted opaque in white or black colours or glossy white. The versions available are with steel profile or with integrated plans with edge or without.
The recognition to MDF Italia has gone far beyond in order to give the company the Honorable Mention for the projects: Tense, table designed by architects Piergiorgio & Michelke Cazzaniga and Vita,m modular system based on a web application designed by architect Massimo Mariani in partnership with Aedas R&D (Christian Derix e Asmund Gamlesaeter).
