Kuka Home Is Adding 10,000 Square Feet to Its High Point Market Showroom

Leather upholstery resource Kuka Home is adding 10,000 square feet to its High Point Market showroom to make room for a major rollout of motion furniture.

The expansion will boost its showroom, space 615 of Furniture Plaza, to 34,000 square feet. The company said the added space will be used to spotlight the new motion products.

Brian Parker, president of Kuka Furniture, Kuka Home's U.S. division, said the motion rollout features 36 seating groups in styles ranging from transitional to contemporary, and includes an array of sofas and chairs.

"We're broadening our line beyond stationary upholstery to expand our business with current customers and to attract new retailers that we haven't been able to tap because we didn't offer motion," Parker said. "Like all of our products, our motion seating will be distinguished by quality construction, fashion-forward styling and sharp pricing."

The company is planning a grand opening party in the expanded showroom on Friday, April 19.

Kuka Home, which sells on a container-direct basis, is a vertically integrated China-based company that has two furniture factories, a tannery and a network of more than 1,600 retail stores in China and several other countries. Orders are typically shipped from China in four to six weeks.

Its line also includes dining tables and chairs, bar stools, ottomans, home office and home entertainment furniture.
