WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Chromcraft Revington said Friday that it will consolidate its Delphi, Ind., distribution center into its Senatobia, Miss., manufacturing and distributions operations during the first half of this year.
The residential and commercial furniture manufacturer said the 16 employees in Delphi have been offered continued employment at other company locations.
The company is considering options regarding the Delphi facility and equipment, officials said, adding that the purpose of the consolidation is "to reduce costs and improve customer service by consolidating the inventory into a common point of distribution while redeploying assets."
"These actions are designed to streamline the ordering and shipping process for our customers while reducing our operating costs," said Ronald Butler, chairman and CEO. "Our customers continue to seek ways to better serve their clients and offering all brands on the same delivery truck is in alignment with current market demands."
Chromcraft Revington sells residential furniture under the Chromcraft, Cochrane, Peters-Revington, Southern Living and CR Kids & Beyond brands. It sells commercial furniture under the Chromcraft and Executive Office Concepts brands.
