According to statistics, Taiwan's imports of large-diameter wire rods with diameters larger or equal to 14mm totaled 7,126 tons in the first half of this year, rising by 7.5% from 6,625 tons in the same period of a year ago. In the given period of time, the country's exports of large-diameter wire rods totaled 32,608 tons, decreasing by 8.1% in comparison of 36,562 tons in the first half of 2012. Meanwhile, the import prices of large-diameter wire rods averaged at NT$21,166/ton, slumping by NT$4,488/ton from a year ago. The expro6t prices averaged at NT$22,397/ton, falling by NT$3,400/ton year on year.
