Tetra Evero, which is claimed to be the world's first aseptic carton bottle, has made its US debut at Gossner Foods, a contract manufacturer in Logan, Utah.
The lightweight and recyclable Tetra Evero aseptic package, which has already been launched in European market, features 360° printable surface and superior environmental profile.
Designed for beverage market, the Tetra Evero bottle is made using renewable resource, wood fiber, which is sourced from FSC-certified forests, Tetra Pak said.
Tetra Pak US and Canada president and CEO Carmen Becker said: "Tetra Evero is a great way for brands to reinforce their sustainability commitment while meeting consumers' nutritional and lifestyle needs.
"The package has seen great success across Europe, and we're thrilled we can now offer it to US beverage producers."
The aseptic package features multi-layer packaging material to help preserve product quality and nutrition, thus eliminating the need of preservatives or refrigeration.
Tetra Pak said it is also launching its Tetra Pak A6 filling machine, which is used to form, sterilize and fill the Tetra Evero bottles, for in the US.
Featuring a gas-phase sterilization technique specifically designed for Tetra Evero packages, the machine occupies half the space required for an aseptic PET line machine.
Gossner Foods aseptic operations vice-president Kelly Luthi said: "We're looking forward to bringing exciting new products to market in this unique package."
